Chapter 1: Setting Up
Phineas's POV
I can't believe that it has been a week since Candace told us that Jeremy and her are getting married. It also has been a week since I started going out with Isabella. Everything seemed to be happening all at once. Candace and Jeremy only stayed for the weekend, and then headed back to school. But not before giving us a list of stuff that she wanted our help with. By the end of the weekend Candace and Jeremy had decided that they wanted a Christmas wedding. And since that was less than two months away, Candace said that she would be coming back every weekend to get the plans all in order for the wedding; however Jeremy said he would only be able to come back every other weekend till closer to the wedding.
"Phineas are you okay? You seem a little distracted."
Since today was supposed to be the last day of sunshine we were going to get till spring, Emily, Ferb, Isabella and I decided to spend it out side. Isabella was laying with her head on my lap with Emily on one side and Ferb on the other.
"Sorry Izzy. I'm fine, I was just thinking about all that has gone on this week."
"I know right. First I get to go out on the most romantic date ever with you, and then Candace gets engaged."
She leaned up and gave me a kiss, when she mentioned the date. The whispering in the halls had finally stopped. The only thing was when Isabella and I kissed in front on Emily.
"Would you guys get a room!"
Isabella looked at Emily and stuck her tongue out at her. Ferb and I started to laugh just as the bell rang. Isabella gave me one more kiss, I'm pretty sure just to annoy Emily, but I wasn't going to complain. Then I headed off with Ferb to our Physic's class and Isabella and Emily headed off to their Literature Class.
"So have you asked Isabella to be your date for the wedding yet?"
When I looked at Ferb to reply I noticed that he wasn't even looking at me. I followed his gaze to see that he was looking at Emily. I had known for a while that he liked Emily, but this was getting sad.
"Ya, I asked her after dropping her off at her house after our date. Have you asked Emily yet?"
"No I haven't but I was . . . Wait who said anything about me asking Emily to the Wedding."
I couldn't help smiling. Ferb always went into denial whenever anyone mentioned him liking or asking out Emily. And normally I would just let it go but not this time. Since I got together with Isabella, I have wanted my brother to be just as happy as I am with Isabella. And Emily was just the girl for the job.
"Oh come on Ferb, I know you like Emily and this wedding gives you an excuse to ask her out."
"Am I getting relationship advice from the guy who for 6 years couldn't tell that his best friend was in love with him?"
"You're never going to let me live that down are you."
"Nope."
And before I could say anything else, our teacher called for silence. Ferb has always been really good at changing the subject, especially if the subject was him and Emily. This time, however, I wasn't going to give up that easily.
Isabella's POV
"So has he asked you to the wedding yet?"
Emily was spending the night at my place just like every other Friday. We had finished all of our homework, so now we had started talking about Candace's wedding. I knew that Emily liked Ferb and I knew that he like her to, so I was curious to see if he had asked her yet.
She sighed, "No he hasn't, maybe you were wrong and he doesn't like me back. Maybe he is just as clueless as his brother."
"I don't think so; I think it's more like he is in denial. He doesn't want to admit that he has feelings for you after what happened with Vanessa."
When we were kids, Ferb had this really big crush on this girl named Vanessa. The only thing is that she was the same age as Candace. So it didn't end very well.
"I had forgotten about that. So do you really think that he will ask me to the wedding?"
"Yes, Yes I do. Oh and before I forget, Phineas, Ferb and I are going to the mall tomorrow to help Candace and Jeremy look for decorations for the wedding. Do you want to come with us?"
"I don't know. Are you sure Candace would be ok with that? I mean I don't really know her that well, if at all."
I had forgotten that Emily didn't move here till after Candace had gone off to college.
"Well I'll call her and ask her but I'm pretty sure that she would be fine with it."
I called Candace to see if it was ok if Emily came with us.
"Oh that would be fine Isabella; I would love to have another girl around to help me pick decorations. I love my fiancée and my brothers dearly, but that don't really get the whole decoration thing. They will probably go off and look for tuxes after the first store."
"True, and great I will let her know. What time do you want us to meet you tomorrow?"
"Hmm, I think around 10:30 we will head to the mall, and since Emily is now coming with us why don't you guys just meet us there."
"Great we will see you guys there."
"So is it okay if I come with you guys tomorrow?"
"Yep, she said yes. Hey I'll be right back."
Emily nodded her head and started to rummage through my nail polish basket. I went to the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I pulled out my phone and dialled Phineas's number.
"Oh hey Izzy, Whatcha' doing?"
I started to laugh, "Hey that's my line."
"I know, so what's up?"
"Well I called Candace and she said that she would love it if Emily came with us tomorrow."
"This is great, now all we have to figure out how to get her and Ferb together."
"Don't worry; I know what we are going to do tomorrow."
"Hey that's my line."
"I know, but you took mine."
I could hear him start to laugh, "True, well let's get 'Operation Set Up' rolling, so that hopefully by the end of tomorrow Ferb and Emily will be just as happy as I am when I'm with you."
I will say it again, I am the luckiest girl in the world!!!!
